Tiki Room Barker Bird
I've always loved the tiki room at Disneyland and was inspired to make my own barker bird. He's made from an old Squawkers McCaw and a Squawker Talker board from www.audioservocontroller.com
I hand painted his face, beak and claws and glued feathers and fur to his wings as well as hand made a collar, bow tie and crocheted a custom hat out of raffia.

Impressive job with the feathers! The stock one-sie is very hard to work with for modification

What type of paint did you use on his face?

Dan Banks I just used cheap acrylic like you get for 99 cents a bottle at your local craft store, it's kind of watery so it took probably 4 or 5 coats to hide the black stripes. It dries hard so it's no longer cuddly, but since this is a display piece versus a stuffed animal to cuddle with I didn't care. Make sure to let it dry between coats. Used the same on the beak but used a clear spray paint to seal it
